Some buyers are in the market but they are only buying cashew nuts for prompt shipment or within 3 months. Purchasing demand for the second and third quarters is still limited.
The domestic market is also sluggish. Chinese buyers have left after buying enough goods for the Lunar New Year.
Currently, many factories reduced their processing capacity. They are only focusing on packing and delivering goods for signed contracts before the Lunar New Year holiday.
Raw cashew nuts prices have decreased about 30usd/ton compared to last week due to the lack of buyers.
Guinea Bissau raw nuts are being offered around 1,680 usd/ton, 53lbs outturn, 210 nuts.
The price of Nigeria raw nuts is about 1,550 usd/ton, 50lbs outturn, 180 nuts.
