Buying demand for cashew kernels in the remaining months of the year is still very weak. There are very few buyers in the market.
The number of cashew kernel offers is not much. Currently, offer prices from BRC factories for the same quality still differ by about 5 cents/lb.
In the domestic market, trading companies purchased WW240 at prices ranging from 3.35 – 3.40 usd/lb and W320 from 3.03 – 3.05 usd/lb (depending on quality). WW240 cashew kernels is still the best-selling.
Currently, the supply of cashew shells is limited as many processing facilities have temporarily stopped operations. Therefore, cashew shells are being traded at a fairly high price, around 200 USD/tons.
Cambodian raw materials are being offered at very high level, the price is around 1,920 usd/ ton, with an outturn of only 46lbs, 108 nuts.
